SAT in Nigeria is administered by the College Board (ETS) in conjunction with GIEVA in Nigeria. SAT is the ticket to applying into colleges and undergraduate schools in countries like the USA, UK, Singapore, Canada, Finland and Australia. The Educational Resource Agency (TERA) has everything you need to get you well equipped if you want to write SAT in Nigeria.

SAT helps colleges get to know you better by giving them insight into how you think, solve problems and communicate. The SAT measures what you’ve learnt; basic skills such as reading, writing and mathematics, and how well you apply that knowledge.

The Current SAT in Nigeria, introduced in 2016, takes 3 hours to finish plus 50 minutes for the SAT with essay. Possible scores on the SAT range from 400 to 1600, combining test results from two 800-point sections: Mathematics, Critical Reading and Writing.

The minimum score accepted by educational institutions vary from school to school. Each school usually sets its own minimum score, so a prospective student will need to contact the international admission office of his/her school of interest.

The computer-based exam is arranged about seven to eight times in a year and it is just one examination per month. Students are advised to register and plan ahead for their examinations as registration closes several weeks before the exam date.

Test takers can sit for as many times as they want. There are no restrictions to the number of times a student can participate in the exam in a given year. Students who seek to improve their scores can take the exam as frequent as they wish, but if you miss your test due to lateness, illness or other issues, you can reschedule. This will cost some additional charges.

The Educational Resource Agency (TERA) provides its students with world class teaching experience, has the techniques to tutor prospective students at its training centers, giving them the confidence and assurance they need to earn great scores. Lectures are comprehensive as students are able to learn and understand section contents and are at the same time taught the best way to convey techniques that will improve their scores.
